2. Visiting the website

When you open a page, the server processes technical data such as your IP address, the time and the page, and keeps it briefly in server logs. This keeps the service secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Hosting is provided by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany under a data processing agreement. Fonts are served from our own server. url2flix itself sets no cookies. We report technical errors to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), stored in the EU: the error message, the place in the code and the page address, without IP address, email address or film link.

3. Analytics with Plausible

We measure reach with Plausible Analytics, an EU-hosted service of Plausible Insights OÜ. Plausible sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. We only see totals such as page views, referring site, country and device type. The IP address is not stored; it is only used for a daily changing, anonymous count. We do not send the address of your film or the URL you entered. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Plausible’s data policy.

4. Checking the page and making the film

We open the address you enter and process its public content and images to make the free film and the purchased film. We load the page’s preview picture through our server, so your browser doesn’t connect to that page. We use a hashed value of your IP address to limit abuse and count free films. Before a free film, Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) checks that a person is sending the form, processing your IP address and technical browser data; the transfer to the USA relies on EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). We store your confirmation that you hold the rights to the page, with the time. The legal basis is carrying out your request and the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)).

5. Film text and checks with Anthropic

To write the film’s lines, choose its pictures and check them against our rules, we send the address and the public content and images of the page to Anthropic PBC, USA, for free films too. The same goes for text you change yourself. Your email address and IP address are not included. The transfer to the USA relies on EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).

6. Buying through Paddle

Paddle.com Market Ltd. is the merchant of record and the seller, and processes your payment and billing data as an independent controller. We never receive card numbers. Paddle is only loaded on the order page. We pass your email address to the checkout and receive the purchase status and order reference from Paddle. The legal basis is performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Paddle’s privacy notice also applies, and Paddle may use its own cookies in the checkout.

7. Email

We use your email address to send you the link to your film and messages about your order (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For a free film it is optional. We don’t send you advertising. If you write to us, we process your message to answer it.

8. Storage period

We delete purchased films and order data after 30 days, and free films and unpaid drafts after 7 days. Paddle keeps purchase data as the law requires of it.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Write to hello@url2flix.com. You can complain to the Austrian data protection authority.

10. Changes

If any of this processing changes, we update this page.
